Oblast jejich použití se nachází především u kompresorů, které mají menší požadavky na odběr stlačeného vzduchu, zastanou zásobu stlačeného vzduchu pro méně náročné pneu nářadí, pro občasné lakování a další nenáročné aplikace, kde není zapotřebí ani extra výkonného kompresoru.
