If you require a precise result when applying paint to a surface, the range of spray guns is not to be missed. Using them is simple. All you need is an air compressor, a hose and a work surface. Conventional spray guns work with pressures up to 6 Bar, low-pressure spray guns up to 2.5 Bar and HVLP spray guns up to just 0.7 Bar. You can see what this division means below:
Classification of spray guns by pressure
- high-pressure(common guns that have a higher dust content due to the high air pressure at the outlet)
- low pressure(lower dust due to lower outlet pressure, high air consumption)
- HVLP(lowest pressure, high efficiency, lowest dust, but also high air consumption)
How to apply paint correctly with a spray gun?
- Always use only suitable colours that you order appropriately
- Work with the correct air pressure for which the gun is designed and do not change it when spraying
- Keep the gun nozzle clean
- Wash and clean the gun immediately with water or thinner each time you spray
- Keep a constant distance from the surface when spraying
- Start and finish spraying outside the sprayed area to avoid spots
