Chinese - Japanese Joint Venture for the production of efficient screw compressors

Shanghai Screw Compressor Co., Ltd (SCR) is a manufacturing company founded in 2000 focused on innovations, research, development, production, sales, and service provision in the field of industrial compressors. The SCR manufacturing plant is a modern enterprise where more than 250 employees operate on an area of over 80,000 m². More than 10% of the personnel is composed of an engineering division focused on development and research.

SCR's product portfolio consists of energy-saving screw compressors, including oil-free and two-stage solutions. The company ensures production in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, holds CE certificates for the European market, UL for the American market, Class Zero certification for oil-free machines, and the performance of all manufactured machines is controlled by SGS audits.

After more than 20 years of development, SCR has entered into strategic cooperation with many partners, and its products are exported to more than 80 countries worldwide.

In 2018, SCR entered into a joint-venture strategic partnership with Japanese manufacturer Anest Iwata, which implemented its quality control and technology management system in SCR, helping to develop and bring to market new, energy-efficient solutions and even more reliable compressors.

ANEST IWATA Corporation was founded in 1926 and has been active in the global market for over 90 years. Since 1973, its shares have been traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Its main activities include the production of industrial coating systems, air compressors, and vacuum technology.

The main production facilities are located in the Akita and Fukushima prefectures and together cover more than 50,000 m² of production area.

In 2018, ANEST IWATA entered into a strategic joint venture with SCR to increase both companies' market share in the screw compressor segment globally, significantly strengthen the development of energy-efficient compressors, and implement a strict Japanese quality management system in the SCR manufacturing plant.
