Industrial compressed air filters ISO 8573
Get rid of mechanical impurities and oil from compressed air efficiently with our extensive filtration programme. Not only will you get better quality compressed air to suit more applications, but you will also extend the life of many compressor system components. If the above matters to you, please feel free to explore our filtration category properly. You will find Omega Air filters, B-Air filters or NGF and Mark filters. We also offer new filter, catalyst and adsorption inserts for all filters. More about the whole program and filtering principles in the sequel.

Why is it necessary to filter compressed air?
The compressed air produced by your compressor - whether piston or screw - is not of good quality without post-treatment and is not suitable for many applications. This is because the compressor inlet filter only captures part of the mechanical impurities. However, they are not the only problem that degrades the quality of the produced air.
What does the produced compressed air contain?
- mechanical impurities
- humidity
- oil vapours (if it is an oil compressor)
This harmful triple combination is causing great trouble for any equipment that is connected to the compressor. Pneumatic tools - over time, they lose power and increase consumption, corrode inside, destroy seals, clog holes, become stuck and negatively affect the quality of work. Its lifetime is shortened many times over. Imagine what untreated compressed air can do to the individual components of a large automated line full of valves, cylinders and variously controlled moving parts. Shutting down a line for servicing can cost a company hundreds of thousands.
Compressed air quality
Compressed air quality is described in standardsiSO 8573-1 with seven classes, from 0 to 6. This guideline is crucial for every operator, as it sets out the exact quality requirements for different applications. Each class has a prescribed maximum content of solids, water and oil. We go into detail about this issue in this article, which will give you advice on how to choose water filters to connect behind your compressor: How to filter compressed air
