How to choose the right condensate drainage system?
Condensate (a mixture of water, oils and solid particles) is an inevitable byproduct of air compression. If it is not removed in a timely and reliable manner, it causes corrosion of air tanks, leaches lubricant from pneumatic tools and degrades final products or painted surfaces. Depending on the type of installation and energy saving requirements, we offer several technological solutions:
1. Electronic lossless drains (EMD and IED series)
The most modern and economical solution for professional operations where every cubic meter of air saved counts.
- 🔹 EMD series (e.g. model EMD12): The casing is made of highly durable polyamide. The principle is based on non-contact measurement of the accumulated level. It drains condensate completely without any loss of compressed air. The working characteristics of the EMD12 fully follow the proven older ECDB series.
- 🔹 IED Series: Uses a highly precise capacitive sensor to sense the level at the bottom of the filter container. Once the condensate reaches its maximum, it is drained from the system without loss. This series is intended primarily for direct installation into filters.

2. Mechanical float valves (AOK series)
A reliable classic that does not require an electrical power supply. It works purely on the physical principle of buoyancy.
- 🔹 AOK20B series: Extremely powerful, robust aluminum drainer. It can handle demanding operation up to a pressure of 20 bar and allows the removal of an astonishing amount of liquid – up to 300 liters per hour. The increased level raises the float, which opens the valve and drains the contents. Automatic closure occurs before air starts to leak. Ideal for containers, filters and cyclone separators.
- 🔹 AOK16B series: A more compact version designed for direct installation inside filters. The precisely processed float ensures zero air loss. In addition, it also offers the option of fully manual unloading.

3. Timed condensate drains (TD Series)
A simple and very popular solution based on an electromagnetic valve.
- 🔹 Full cycle control: Timed draining can be continuously adjusted according to the needs of your system (according to the average amount of condensate generated in a given operation).
- 🔹 High reliability: The electronics are built into a solid plastic housing. Adjustable time opening ensures complete and rapid discharge of accumulated fluid.
- 🔹 Recommendation: Condensate should be collected in a suitable collection container (e.g. oil separator) to avoid environmental pollution.
